Exterior condition of the property is nice, but my room was very dated and not clean in the bathroom area. Mold on tiles, dirt/hairs on floor, broken toilet paper holder, old furniture, and just a feeling grime in this room. I didn’t bother requesting another room because I was only there 1 night on business, so I just toughed it out and left next morning. Nice staff at the place for sure, but likely will not return.

I enjoyed my stay here for the most part. The location is quiet, especially considering it's right next to a main highway. The area is not particularly pedestrian friendly, as the busy Frontage street was lit but had no sidewalk for long stretches and Old Hwy 77 behind the property was not busy, but dark and also no sidewalk. I think hotels on the east side of Hwy 83 are probably better if one wants to walk around. My room was spacious and mostly fine, but a portable AC unit was put in because the original wall AC unit was broken, and the toilet kept running all night. The next say the handyperson replaced the flapper and it mostly resolved the issue. Breakfast is pretty standard, with scrambled eggs, waffles, bread/bagels, juices, available every day. There's a couple of items that get switched out so I didn't get bored. The staff and service are excellent. No notes.

Decent hotel but poor service
Called ahead of time to get 2 rooms next to eachother for family, and was told this was fine. Upon arrival, was told this may have been fine earlier in the day but at the time we checked in it could not be done. Also, we were told we could have rooms off the ground floor and away from facing the parking lot, yet these were also unavailable upon arrival. The hotel housekeeping and loud door closing is also very noisy early in the morning and woke us up. The front desk was also unable to accommodate a late checkout even after all of the unfortunate inconveniences, and the staff came to ask multiple times if we were checking out the last day of our stay as if they couldn’t wait to get us out of our rooms. The hotel itself is fine and the breakfast every morning is excellent. After a very long travel day and a stressful trip ahead, it would have been much better if the hotel would’ve kept their word about accommodating the requests prior to arrival. I understand it’s Memorial Day weekend but it’s still Brownsville, a relatively small town, and they should be able to provide good service
