Perfect hotel to stay at for a layover. I always visit family in Arequipa and usually skip Lima. This time we decided to stay for the day to have lunch and dinner with my cousin. Lima in general isnt the safest unless you stay in Miraflores, however the hotel's amenities and staff make up for it if youre passing by and need a convenient stay for an early flight.

Not cool!!!!
I have stayed at this hotel seven times in the past three years. The biggest attraction is the convenience to the airport. I always have to fly into Lima, then stay overnight to fly out to another domestic airport. I gave this property one star for comfort, based solely on the air conditioning. I don’t know what the answer is, but I don’t seem to have this problem in other hotels like this one. When these rooms are left vacant and the curtains open, they heat up to a tremendous degree about 28 or 29°. so that when you enter the room after checking in, it is just boiling. I turn on the air conditioner immediately, but it takes a good 2 to 3 hours to cool the room off to the point where it is livable. And some of the rooms the air conditioning doesn’t work that great so it struggles all night long to cool off the room. When I arrive in the evening and need to go to sleep immediately, I generally have to get up early in the morning to catch a domestic flight. But it takes me hours to fall asleep because the room is just so dang hot. I have to carry a portable fan with me so that at least I can get some air moving. But if it wasn’t for this fan I have with me it would be unbearable. They should shut the curtains, so at least the sunlight doesn’t heat up the room. They should also keep one or two rooms ready for people to occupy. I’ve stayed here enough times to know that this is not an accident. It is a big problem. And for this reason I don’t like staying here.
