Horrible night before our cruise.
We had a room that was in the basement. The window was high up and the view was of the bottom of a car.
All I cared about was a comfortable nights sleep and a hot shower before my cruise the next day.
There were people talking in the alley behind the hotel so it was noisy to fall asleep, when I finally did, the bed made noises every time I moved. I woke up in the morning to the sound of a dog barking. So much for a good night sleep.
As far as the shower goes, when I turned on the water it was freezing cold. I gave it a few minutes, still cold. I called the front desk and someone came down. They said they might need to restart the boiler. Didn't work. Then, some maintenance man came down and played with the shower. He abruptly walked out and said, "works now". So, I got ready to get back in the shower and the water was still freezing cold. I let them know it still was cold. By this time it was getting late and we didn't want to miss out cruise check in time. The guy at the desk said he could not credit us for the stay since it was booked on Hotels.com, but he would note the account.
I told Hotels.com and they have not yet done anything about it.
