This space is one of a kind! This modern home features high ceilings, a loft-like home office, a small kitchen, outdoor balcony, and private bedroom.
When you enter the home, you are greeted by high ceilings and multiple sky lights. The walls are decorated with large original, local artwork created by the homeowner. The space has original sculptures and handcrafted lights.
The comfortable leather couch pulls out for guests 3 and 4 to enjoy. (please know, there is an additional $10 charge per night for guest 3 and 4)
The dining table is made of handcrafted glass and can seat 4 guests. The kitchen is small, but has everything you need to cook a meal.
Note: there is no microwave but all other appliances are full sized.
The refrigerator has an ice maker and filtered water spout. The counter top on the left is a butcher block. The oven and stove are in perfect condition. There is a kettle for tea, a french press, traditional coffee pot and an espresso maker for you to use.
Up the spiral stairs, there is an office with plenty of plugs to charge all of your gadgets. The desk is large enough for you to spread out and work on your laptop.
Up a few more stairs is the bedroom area. More artwork decorates the bedroom walls. The bed is dressed with crisp sheets, and fluffy yet firm pillows. At the foot of the bed, there is a tv with a Roku for streaming via your Netflix or Hulu accounts. The bedroom has a skylight, and large sliding door.
The bathroom is located off the bedroom where the artistic touch is continued with hand painted glass tiles fully lining the shower. There is also a full row of mirrors above the sink, and a toilet in the bathroom. Please know, the bathroom does not have a ceiling, only walls.
Off the bedroom is a deck with outdoor furniture where guests can enjoy a little outdoor green space in the city.
Guests will have access to the whole house with the exception of the art studio and storage space in the back of the house. This space is behind the kitchen, and will be locked during your stay.
Guests can make themselves at home, as they have full access to the rest of the house!
If you need anything during your stay we are accessible and happy to help however we can.
Fairmount or the Art Museum Area is a charming neighborhood. There are many families who reside in this area because of the safe streets, friendly atmosphere, and close proximity to everything downtown.
This neighborhood has many shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars for you to enjoy during your trip.
The Broad Street line drops visitors on the eastern border of this neighborhood, about a 20 minute walk away. There are many bus stops that run through Fairmount. Check out SEPTA's website for details.
Parking can get congested on nights and weekends. Pay careful attention to posted signs, as ticketing is taken seriously (I will send over suggestions on parking and interpreting parking signs with your check in details). There is a paid parking lot on the corner of 22nd and Fairmont for a long term or short term parking option.
Rates and minimum stays are subject to change during holidays and special events.
