An adventurous misadventure
I'll be honest, staying in a tipi was not part of our vacation plans but when we realized we'd (ahem, I) hadn't booked accommodations for the following day we started looking on Vrbo and decided to turn our misadventure into an adventure. We visited in May when the evenings are still quite cool but between the fire pit, wood stove and chimnea enjoyed a comfortable and unique stay in a place we otherwise would never have visited. While in town we visited the local tavern which although smoky we found very friendly and our lunch from the adjoining "snack shack" was actually really good. We also managed a small profit on the in-bar video poker game. If I were forced to cite a negative it would be that you're quite close to other visitors staying in the tiny home or wagon. We got lucky and had no neighbors in the wagon and quiet neighbors in the tiny house but we were hoping for a bit more seclusion. On the other hand if you had a large group I think it'd be pretty cool to rent all three in which case you'd have the best of all worlds.

Wonderful getaway!
Absolutely loved my stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a cozy and simple glamping experience. For me, having a fire pit exclusive for use was so nice and the sky full of stars just beautiful at night. the Tipi was also cozy and had lots of little comforts - heated blanket for the cold night, power outlets, etc. Although I didn't use the space, the kitchen area looked like it would be great too for anyone interested in preparing some food. Having a mini fridge was nice to keep things cold. Overall, really nice experience.

Absolutely Perfect!
We spent two nights at Sandy Valley Ranch and I cannot say enough good things about this property and the hosts! The property is absolutely gorgeous, and the hosts are incredibly welcoming and accommodating. We ended up having a bad rain storm our first night that caused our teepee to become soaked. Sandy called us prior to check in and told us we could stay in a different accommodation for the evening. Our teepee was cozy and so comfortable even on the chilly night that we had. We spent both mornings walking around the ranch and saying hi to all their animals. We will be talking about this vacation for a long time! Thank you Sandy + crew!!

We were looking for a place to stay that was close to home to watch the latest meteor shower. I was lucky to stumble upon the Sandy Valley Ranch. It’s clear that they’ve put so much care and thought into making this a wonderful place to stay. We’re already planning our next stay! Thank you to the hosts for sharing this little piece of heaven.

Desert Getaway
My husband and I had the most wonderful experience. Who doesn't want to spend magical evening's in a tipi surrounded by mountains and warm summer breezes. Lovely place to unwind, be off the grid, enjoy each other's company and disconnect from screens. Big thanks to the wonderful folks at Sandy Valley Ranch for providing a clean, quiet, hospitable stay with great amenities.

The Teepee was a great experience. We were out away from town in the open with a beautiful night sky, open air, we had our own little sitting area with a fire burning stove, a separate fire pit, outdoor shower and kitchen area. It was a great stay and we will return again.
