The hotel was remodeled but it still needs some work. Wasn’t informed about check out times, pool or gym information. Didn’t have enough towels or wash clothes and when asked for more there weren’t enough still. Needed a roll away bed and front desk never contacted me to tell me whether they had one or not. Downtown area was disappointing

Hotel is in the process of a total remodel. Our room was clean, well decorated and new. The breakfast package ($10 per person) could be used for either the breakfast buffet or the breakfast menu. We ordered from the menu, food and service were very good. The dining room has not yet been remodeled, carpet shows lots of wear. Overall, I would recommend this hotel, it's location was very good for the Augustana College graduation reception we were attending.

Pros: The pillows and the ample parking (if you take into consideration the overflow parking) Also, the coffee shop across the street.
Cons: The fitness center was lacking, especially as the guest directory makes it sound like there is more equipment than there really is. Over-busy staff
The surrounding area is clean but feels abandoned. It's in downtown Rock Island, but it is the least busy downtown area I have ever seen. The hotel parking lot is very small, but there's a free parking garage across the street with overflow parking available. They have three people at the front desk (or at least they did every time I went past), and they all three seem very busy. They're polite, but I also got the sense they had thirty other things to be doing rather than focusing on my while I was checking in (for example, I had to ask for my license back from the person checking me in because she had forgotten to hand it back). The rooms are quite nice, and the pillows are big and comfortable. The area is quiet, but also pretty well located for the Quad Cities. I was 20 minutes or fewer from the places I went (which were all over the Quad Cities).

It was fine

Pros: It was clean and updated
Cons: The parking! The lot was more than full and the "overflow" parking was full as well.
Overall the place was clean and the staff was friendly. I was very annoyed with the parking situation which would make me reconsider staying here again.

The only bad thing about this motel is that we asked for a non-smoking room and ended up in a smoking room. They told us since we booked with tavelocity that we could not be guaranteed a non-smoking room.
