Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Santa Barbara! This is a beautiful property with a terrific staff that is centrally located to almost everything in Santa Barbara. The hotel is an original classic with all of the charm but has been beautifully updated with all new conveniences and decor to maintain the theme and look of a classic. Will definitely be staying here again!

Great Hotel
I’ve stayed here a few times and it’s the perfect hotel to choose if you want to be close to downtown Santa Barbara. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and the fact that you can bring your dog is definitely a plus!

Location of this hotel is fabulous. Walking distance to all the State Street dining and shopping and the beach too! Historic hotel very well maintained. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Older, well maintained building. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Well located in midst of area with restaurants, clubs etc. The only reason I am not giving it higher ratings is due to a noise problem. There is a club in the same building as the hotel (the placed in the area with live bans are VERY loud) and the vibrations from the music resonated through most of the building. I actually left my room to investigate whether it was coming from another room. When I called the front desk they immediately sent someone up with ear plugs which worked to some extent. If you are a light sleeper or have sensitive hearing be warned. The other thing to note is that the main entrance to the hotel was on a street that was closed off for pedestrian use. Keep an eye out for the parking entrance on the adjacent street.

The interior of the hotel is very old and dated. The windows in the room can not be opened which makes the room very stuffy.
