I stayed in this hotel with my family shortly after it was built. It was a lovely hotel with a beautiful courtyard, fun pool and waterslide area, great staff and a nice breakfast area. My how the years have worn this place down. Taking a drive around the property shows the exterior neglect, and a brief walk inside shows the interior neglect. Couple this with cheap rates, noisy kids and dogs, folks who obviously call this place home, and doors continually propped open as if to share their stay with everyone, and you can't help but wonder what happened.
Our room was fine, but this whole place is run down and needs to be refurbished. It's not a real convenient location to much of anything, other than the interstate. The staff is fine, and we got checked in after just a few minutes wait. The breakfast leaves A LOT to be desired. They have a wonderful breakfast area, very nice actually, but hardly anything to actually eat. Cold cereal, bread and bagels, a bowl of apples, and orange juice, that's about it. It barely suffices as a continental breakfast and leaves a lot to be desired. If you like coffee, they have a nice little coffee bar, and the gal taking care of the area was nice and friendly.
This place used to be a top-notch hotel. It's been left to rot, and now a person can see why it's one of the cheapest places to stay in town. Staff - ok, Room - ok, Hotel - needs a lot of work...
