"We loved the Hotel. Right from the start it is beautiful. Check-in was easy. We were upgraded when we mentioned it was our anniversary and they brought us a gift to our room. They went above and beyond. The location is right in the middle of everything. Riverwalk, restaurants, Alamo, Shopping, activities are all in walking distance. We felt safe in the area surrounding the hotel. Room service was so good and quick. They removed our dishes when we called and said we were finished. We were on the 6th floor facing the riverwalk and were not bothered by any outside noise. We did hear a lil from our room neighbors, nothing extreme but to be expected from an older building. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. My only bother is that everyday people would save pool chairs with towels. There are 20ish lounge chairs and there were never more than 5 people in the pool but all the chairs were empty with towels saving them. More the fault of inconsiderate people than the hotel but it would be nice if there was a no chair saving rule so people that were actually at the pool could use the chairs. Pool bar was great. Every staff member we talked to was very polite and helpful. I debated a long time before our trip on where to stay and i believe i made an excellent choice. We will be coming back."
