We love staying at the Vandivort when we’re in Springfield, but last time we came it was summertime so I didn’t know you have to call the front desk to adjust your temperature in your room. I was perturbed and the first night was super cold as it was 20 something degrees outside. Only negative I have about the hotel but it is a Super negative

The staff were amazing. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Curtis the valet was phenomenal. He was very prompt and held a conversation very well. The hotel and the staff were very quick to fix any issues that arose and all staff seemed like they knew how to deal with even the most random situations. The restaurant was absolutely stunning. The atmosphere was gorgeous and the food was easily the best thing I've ever eaten. The staff at the restaurant are also great. I mean I dropped my knife and before I could lean down to even pick it up someone had already appeared with a brand new clean one. We will definitely make the Hotel Vandivort a part of our yearly vacations hopefully for many years to come!

Outstanding facilities/staff but average room.
The facility and grounds were incredible. The employees were exceptionally caring and helpful. However, the room we were upgraded in to for free felt a bit average. The cleanliness of the room was average and amenities were the same. Some light fixtures didn’t work or were broken and tiles in the bathroom were cracked. Overall I would highly recommend it to others as it’s still the nicest place to stay in Springfield and the staff makes up for any shortcomings the room might have had.

This is a beautiful boutique property. They have missed the mark however on one of the most important aspects of a hotel—comfort! This was likely one of the worst hotel beds I’ve ever tried to sleep in. If you desire a bed as hard as a rock—then this is your place. All the little extra amenities lose their shine when one cannot get a decent night’s sleep. Invest in some quality mattresses and you’ll have a 5-star rating.
