Looking at it, it’s beautiful! Valet was great, alittle pricey but it is what is. You walk into the lobby and it’s beautiful still! The journey to the room, there’s no elevator or room service to take your luggage up the stairs to the room. The room is small, tv is small and the bathroom is small and there is no balcony. There is no access to the pool from inside in the hotel you have to walk out the main lobby and walk to the end of the building to get to the pool. There’s no cameras and no sense of security there. People walking downtown can watch you while you’re laying out and/or swimming. Definitely would not recommend to anyone I care about!!

If you like historic buildings and are on a budget the Exchange hotel is for you. I however do not care for historic buildings or was on a budget for this business event and stayed there for one night only. I first clue that something was a miss with that the elevator was broken. At that point I should have changed my hotel stay. The rooms to me looked like they were remodeled using habitat for humanity supplies. To some it all up my colleague said to me, he thinks we were hotel catfished from the pictures online. The staff were very nice and the hotel was close to downtown.

Do not recommend
The first room they gave us had bugs in the the bed and stains and hair on the sheets. There was also crusted food on the desk. We told them about the issues and were promptly given another room, which we were grateful for, but no offer was made of even a modest discount to account for the terrible conditions. The second room was more clean, but still had hair on the bed. Seems like a basic thing that would be taken care of if the room was properly cleaned, so who knows if they were even clean sheets. We decided it wasn't worth it to try for a third room. No room service was offered during our stay (3 nights) and each time we asked for new towels it seemed like we were inconveniencing the staff. Room was quite small, bathroom incredibly small, but the AC did work great and location was perfect. I would not stay here again.
