The facility has obvioulsly been around a while. At first look, it appears to kept up. However, once you start looking at things, you realize that it needs some help. First was the elevators ony 1 of the 2 worked. The rooms do not have AC, and the baseboard heaters need to be replaced. Or room was a fire hazard. The restaurant/lounge is only used for breakfast. The indoor pool & hottub appear to be good, but the hottub was out of order during our stay. This was one of the big reasons we chose to book at this place. We were disappointed with this choice and know better for our next trip to Victoria. UPDATED: The following morning, the manager made it right by getting us a refund for a portion of our stay, but I would not recommend this hotel in the future.

We had a wonderful stay! Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Is it the most modern looking?- no, but that's part of the charm! Like staying the weekend at your grandparent's place.

We moved from Victoria not long ago and now live 35 mins away so the odd time I need stay overnight it’s nice to stay at the Royal Scott .

Parking is not free as advertised.
$21 per day charge to park wasn’t very welcoming… especially when the surrounding hotels are either free or $12 per day for covered parking. Chintzy.

Clean and friendly. We were very disappointed the hot tub was closed on our second night. Looked like it needed a vacuum/clean and could have been up and running again. Other guests we ran into were equally displeased with the closure.
