Voted the "Best Small Cruise Line" by Travel + Leisure readers (2001, 1999), Regent Seven Seas Cruises recently completed a $20 million fleet-wide refurbishment. The cruise line offers personal service, luxury accommodations, and exotic ports to its discriminating clientele. Complimentary select wines and spirits at dinner, in-suite bar setup in Butler suites, and a no-tipping policy set this line apart from the rest. Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Voyager are the world's only all-balcony suite vessels.

Casino options are limited compared to other cruise lines, but shows and lecture series are excellent. During the day, guests mostly entertain themselves without the aid of bingo and limbo contests. Some ships feature a new nine-piece band, the largest onboard any luxury cruise line.

Regent Seven Seas offers open seating, and the food is top-notch in both the main dining rooms and alternative restaurants. As an added bonus, complimentary select wines and spirits are served at dinner. Plus, in-suite refrigerators are replenished daily with soft drinks, beer, and bottled water.

On Regent Seven Seas, every stateroom has an ocean view, and most are actually suites, not single staterooms. Fine art (featuring works by Paul Gauguin, among others) and six-star cuisine by French chefs set the atmosphere apart from other cruise lines. And best of all, cruise fares include all onboard gratuities.
