Pusan, South Korea
Wonderland's Alice must have given part of her "eat me" cake to Pusan. The second-largest city in Korea, it's already the world's fourth largest port, and its deep, gentle harbor provides enough room for it to keep on growing and growing. Even the islets offshore appear to multiply during high tide. Hot-springs are scattered throughout the metropolitan area, as are beaches, Buddhist shrines, palace relics, and temple ruins dating back to the ancient Shilla Dynasty. At the U.N. Memorial Worship and Exhibition Hall, locals and visitors pay respect to the Korean War's fallen soldiers.
