Holyhead, Wales, United Kingdom
It's an easy 400 steps down to the South Stack Lighthouse. The climb back up, however, will work off all those calories from the midnight buffet. With picturesque views of the rocky coast, though, it doesn't even seem hard (well, maybe just a little bit). Catch your breath within the Roman- and Celtic-influenced city, where the most dangerous place to be at night is at a rugby match, and then only if you're a player. Warming cups of tea are served in the Maritime Museum, and the well-preserved Caernarfon Castle sheds light on the Dark Ages.
