Port Description

Guam, Mariana Islands

Bougainvillea, the island's official flower, blooms all over this South Pacific U.S. naval outpost. Despite the many hallmarks of Americana (including the world's largest K-Mart), it is a melting pot of cultures, with a number of ancient Chamorro cave paintings and latte stones. Among the exotic alternatives to golfing and fishing are checking out a dog-racing or cock-fighting competition. Divers have the unique opportunity to see the wreck of a WWII ship that fell on top of the wreck of a ship from WWI. In fact, there are many WWII artifacts to explore in parks both above and below the water.
