Port Description

Corfu, Greece
Homer's Odysseus wandered onto Corfu during his long journey back to Ithaca and Jason and the Argonauts also sought shelter on this enchanting Ionian island. Warmed by the Mediterranean sun, silvery olive groves cover nearly half of the interior and dozens of golden beaches tempt swimmers and sunbathers at every turn. History's hand brought several conquering cultures to this picture-perfect paradise, resulting in a quirky mix of buildings in Corfu Town, from the Italian-style piazza, the Spianada, in the center of town to the French-influenced Liston arcade, home to many atmospheric cafés.
