Norwegian Sky - Ship Description
Norwegian Cruise Line has reverted the Pride of Aloha back to its original name, Norwegian Sky, and moved it from Hawaii to the Bahamas' balmy waters. Norwegian Sky is the youngest ship and boasts the most balcony staterooms in the three- and four-day Miami market, and guests love the 10 bars and lounges, Second City Comedy show, and brand-new Monte Carlo Casino.
Completely refurbished, Norwegian Sky features 12 spacious decks surrounding a glass-domed atrium, elegantly appointed staterooms, gracious public areas, and a range of Freestyle Dining options.
Two swimming pools and five hot tubs make it easy to relax, especially with on-deck drinks and pool attendants who spritz sunbathers with spring water or suntan lotion. The Body Waves Spa offers a variety of body and beauty treatments, plus there's plenty of room for group exercise classes and a full array of fitness equipment. The sun deck features a batting cage, full-size basketball court, two golf nets, and the children's swimming pool.
Passengers onboard Norwegian Sky can dine in the ship's two main dining rooms, or opt for an intimate evening savoring Italian cuisine or indulging in French-Mediterranean specialties prepared table-side, in both al fresco and indoor settings. Casual dining options also abound, including the unique Chinese/Italian eatery Ciao Chow, the Garden Cafe buffet and snack bar, and the Great Outdoor Cafe. Numerous lounges and bars aim to please with offerings that range from frothy cappuccinos at the Coffee Bar/Internet Cafe; to a humidor stocked with hand-rolled cigars at Churchill's Cigar Bar. Those feeling flush can try their luck in the all-new Monte Carlo Casino. Plus, strolling musicians accompany high tea in the Observation Lounge and the Checkers Cabaret Bar doubles as a live music venue and a disco.
