Costa Classica - Ship Description

Invoking the essence of Italian culture, the Costa Classica presents murals and decor reminiscent of the Renaissance, operas, and Roman times, all the while living up to its reputation as a friendly and fun cruise ship. The Classica's most distinctive feature is an observatory that transforms into a wild disco when the sun goes down. Located aboard, guests will also find a theater, pools, and a slew of shopping and dining opportunities which help maintain the Classica's status as one of Costa line's most popular ships.

The Classica's facilities provide a non-stop array of activities and entertainment that is sure to make your getaway memorable. The athletically-inclined may choose to begin their day with a run around the ship's 250-meter jogging track, followed by a few laps in the two onboard swimming pools. Others may simply choose to relax in one of the four outdoor whirlpools. Those with a taste for excitement can be found placing their bets in the San Remo Casino, while guests with a taste for the finer life may peruse the shops of Ponte Vecchio, the onboard duty-free shopping mall. However, the Classica's onboard entertainment really begins at nightfall: the Galileo Disco and Observatory features 360 degree views during the day, and becomes a hopping nightclub after dark. Those looking for a more elegant evening will visit the Puccini Lounge and Ballroom, complete with table tops depicting scenes from Puccini's operas.

The ship's dining options include the Tivoli Restaurant, where artfully-made murals turn windows into scenes depicting the Renaissance and Roman times. Other options include La Trattoria Buffet, Alfresco Cafe, pizza at La Tavernetta, and pastries at Il Dolce Amore. Drinks are served at Piazza Navona Grand Bar, Positano Bar, and the pool bar. Other amenities located on the Classica include a conference center, four meeting rooms, an Internet cafe, foyer lounge, photo shop, laundry services, satellite or radio telephone, medical center, currency exchange, chapel, shore excursion office, TV room, Mini Club, a children's room, and the CostaClub Corner.
