Holland America Line will name the first of its Signature Class ships the Eurodam, a 2,044-passenger vessel to be delivered in summer 2008. The $450 million new-build ship marks Holland America Line's next class of vessels and the largest ever constructed for the premium line. Eighty-six percent of staterooms offer oceanviews, and of those, 67 percent feature balconies. Stroll its 11 passenger decks and feast your eyes on a host of new facilities and amenities including a 144-seat Pan-Asian restaurant and 50-seat lounge surrounded by panoramic ocean views. For fine Italian food, stop by the Explorer's Lounge Bar, a new specialty restaurant adjacent to the Lido. And don't miss the elegant luxury jewelry boutiques, new atrium bar area, enhanced show lounge with theater-style seating, and a new photography center. Traditional Holland America Line touches will also be featured, including the Pinnacle Grill, Culinary Arts Center presented by Food & Wine Magazine, Greenhouse Spa and Salon, plus the largest gymnasium ever built for the cruise line. Staterooms showcase all of the Signature of Excellence premium amenities, including plush Euro-top Mariner's Dream beds, deluxe waffle/terry cloth robes, Egyptian cotton towels, flat panel TVs, DVD players, make-up mirrors with halo lighting, massage shower heads, professional grade hair dryers, fresh flowers and complimentary fruit baskets.
