Costa Pacifica - Ship Description
The Costa Concordia is as playful as it is prodigious--and as one of the largest ships in Costa's fleet, that's no small claim. Cheerful colors abound both on deck and in the cabins, while the "great cities of Europe" theme is reflected in the naming of public rooms and dining areas. The accommodations are varied, with the Samsara staterooms and suites being the most exclusive. These special spa-themed cabins provide not only a private entrance to the Samsara Spa, but also come packaged with spa treatments, an aroma diffuser, and other related perks.
The Samsara Spa itself is one of the great draws of the Costa Concordia. Asian-inspired and specializing in thalassotherapy--treatments that use seawater, marine mud, and other oceanic elements--it spans over 20,000 square feet. Tried-and-true therapies abound as well, from massages and facials to soaks and saunas. Elsewhere on the ship, guests can splash in their choice of four pools, two of which feature sliding glass roofs for all-weather swimming. Yoga, spin, and pilates classes are offered at the ship's state-of-the-art fitness center.
Concordia's good cheer also extends to children. The Squok Club fills every day with activities ranging from photography lessons to pool parties, while the ship's 24-hour arcade is an anytime retreat for kids and kids-at-heart. For adults, live bands and daytime salsa classes spark a rhythm that continues long into the night, which is the perfect time to visit one of Concordia's 13 bars or cut a rug at the Lisbona Disco.
