Perched high on a hill with Guadalajara below, the El Tapatio Hotel and Resort is equal parts business facility, sports center, and old-world resort. Gardens, fragrant pathways, and cobblestone drives are perfect for evening strolls. The property also includes pool with bar, kids pool, four lighted clay tennis courts, volleyball court, jogging track, and playground.

The restaurants and bars of the hotel provide choice dining and entertainment. Atardecer, the lobby bar, provokes listless staring at the fascinating panoramic view. Memories is the on-site discotheque with romantic music. Los Laureles serves up Mexican and international cuisine, while Meson del Chef has nightly gourmet specialties. Chapala is the hotel's poolside bar.

The hotel also has a modern business center, meeting rooms, babysitters, a laundryroom (dry cleaning service is available as well), car rental and travel desk, handicrafts shop, doctor, tobacco shop, sports shop, souvenir shop, and a fully stocked gymnasium.
