This 9000 square foot authentic antebellum plantation house, with its sprawling verandahs and white columns, emulates the beauty and romance of the Old South. Bordering the Intracoastal Waterway and in Beaufort's historic district, the Rhett House Inn is perfectly situated to discover the glory of the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Whether you're inside or outdoors, there is always a place to relax. The verandahs are perfect for afternoon tea with homemade cookies and brownies or evening hors d'oeuvres with wine and cocktails. Indoors, the main living room, made warm and cozy by English and American antiques, is a perfect place to relax with friends or read by the fire. The Inn and gardens of The Rhett House Inn set the scene for a sophisticated wedding, reception or special event. Tall, live oak trees create a canopy over our lush lawn that is bordered with seasonal flowers and plants. Sunset weddings take on a magical feeling that is romantic and enchanting for the bride, groom and guests.
