A luxurious beachfront resort, the Mauna Lani Bay Hotel contains golf courses, a tennis club, and an award-winning spa, and is approximately 21 miles from Keahole-Kona International Airport. Local attractions include Kailua-Kona Town, approximately 28 miles away, and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, located 113 miles from the resort.

Mauna Lani Beach is located in the front of the property, and offers cabanas complete with food and drink services. Free snorkeling and rentable floatation gear is available at the resort. For those that wish to get up close and personal with the wildlife, a shark pond and a sea turtle pond are located onsite. The resort is also home to two oceanview golf courses. The Sports and Fitness Club features a three-lane lap pool, whirlpool, tennis courts, and a fitness center, as well as classes in yoga, swimming, and surfing. Those that love the outdoors will appreciate the resort's walking trails and fish ponds.
