What you should know:- **Beginning Feb. 9, 2010, Indian River County will begin a beach nourishment project affecting the beach adjacent to Disney���s Vero Beach Resort. For guests��� safety, access to the beach areas on weekdays will be restricted. Members and guests will be directed to one of several public beaches nearby. This work is expected to take place over a 4 to 6 week period. The resort pool will remain open during regular pool operating hours.

Situated on a scenic stretch of Atlantic coast, Disney's Vero Beach Resort is located less than two hours from Disney World.
The heated outdoor pool features the Pirate's Plunge, a two-story spiral waterslide, which is 163 feet long. Other on-site recreation includes various watersports, an exercise room, tennis courts, basketball, volleyball, horseshoes, archery, nine-hole golf course, hot tub, and massage therapy. Nature lovers will enjoy the trail leading to a lakeside pavilion. Bikers can take to the seven-mile jungle path lined with tropical flowers. In the evenings, astronomy guides with telescopes point out the stars, and campfire sing-a-longs include marshmallow roasts. On-site dining includes character breakfasts, two restaurants, and one lounge.
All rooms have ceiling fans, televisions with VCR, wet bars, refrigerators, microwaves, hairdryers, coffeemakers, and balconies.
