In 1998, the Avalon Beverly Hills reopened after a renovation and makeover by architect Kining Eizenberg and designer Kelly Weastler. Embracing the retro glamour of the 1950s, the chic update enabled the hotel to offer every modern convenience to its clientele without sacrificing style.

Accents like geometric George Nelson bubble lamps, Eames cabinets, Thonet chairs, Noguchi tables, and a figure-eight pool with cabanas for guests make it almost surprising to find dual-line phones, fax machines, modem ports, DVD players, and 27-inch TVs in every room. Spectrums of muted hues accent every public and private space in a soothing and fun manner.

Situated one block from Rodeo Drive, guests of the hotel are in walking distance to the hot shops and restaurants of Beverly Hills and are just 20 minutes from LA's beaches. On the premises are Blue on Blue, the restaurant at the Avalon, a fitness center, an outdoor swimming pool, and a full-service concierge. Overnight valet parking is available for $30. Nightly turndown and 24-hour room service are also available.
