Built in 1879, the Victorian-style Wyndham Tremont House is located in the Strand Historic District, within walking distance of the 1894 Grand Opera House and approximately one hour from Houston International Airport. This location is also within walking distance of the Strand Street Theater. The hotel is on the trolley car route that runs to the beach and throughout downtown. Once a busy dry-goods warehouse, Tremont House has soaring ceilings, 11-foot windows, and period furnishings. Hotel amenities include the The Tremont Cafe which is open for Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Featuring Starbucks coffee, pastries, a pizza oven, gourmet sandwiches, salads, soups and desserts. The new caf��� features 42-inch plasma televisions, Internet booths, complimentary Wi-Fi and printing capabilities.
