The Budget Host Sunset Motel is located on snowmobile trails, which are accessible from guest rooms. The motel is located 15 miles from two downhill ski resorts (Bittersweet and Timber Ridge). The motel's proximity to the Allegan State Game Area (approximately four miles) makes it a favorite location for outdoor enthusiasts (canoeing the Kalamazoo River, bicycle trails, hiking) during summer and fall months. Winter activities in the Allegan State Game Area include snowshoeing and cross country skiing. In conjunction with these ski resorts, the motel offers special packages for skiers. With these packages one receives all the benefits of the excellent hotel facilities and the thrilling slopes at Bittersweet and Timber Ridge.
