Narrow alleyways, taverns, cafes, stores, and closeness to the seats of power of the Swedish Parliament, civil service headquarters, and Royal Palace, make a stay in Gamla Stan (the Old Town) a fantastic experience. Amazing roof terrace views. The Hotel is located in a charming 17th-century building, with Stockholm Cathedral, House of the Nobility, and Slussen just around the corner.

Guests have access to free wireless Internet connections. The hotel's two conference rooms are located in the hotel's 17th century cellar. Both rooms are equipped with a projector, flipchart, whiteboard, TV and video. Rica Hotel Gamla Stan does not have its own restaurant, only a breakfast area, but there are plenty of restaurants available close to the hotel, serving both Swedish and international cuisine.

The hotel is entirely furnished in a classical 18th century style, providing a very cosy ambience. All the rooms have personal touches, containing at least one antique object. The rooms also have parquet flooring, along with a toilet and shower/bath, hair-dryer, radio, cable TV, telephone, and mini-bar.
