A chateau, vineyard, spa, and golf resort in the rolling foothills north of Atlanta, Chateau Elan is about an hour from the Atlanta airport and only 45 minutes from downtown. The resort is a French-style chateau on hundreds of lush acres. If it's golf you seek, choose from one of four courses. The full-service European-style health spa is always an option, as are the winery tour and tasting, the tennis courts, the pool, and the equestrian center. For something racy, lessons at the Panoz Road Racing driving school (just down the road) can be arranged depending on availability.
Dining at Chateau Elan, enhanced with the bounty of the award-winning vineyards, is a heady attraction for anyone's tastes. Chefs at Chateau Elan's eight distinctive restaurants present an array of international and regional American culinary dishes. A wealth of choices and settings ranging from classic French dining at Le Clos, casual bistro style foods at Cafe Elan, sumptuous buffet and a la carte fare at Versailles, the charm of the Carriage House Restaurant set in a restored 1886 Victorian house, or there is always the spirited ambience of Paddy's Irish Pub.
