Built by the philanthropist J. Graham Brown in 1923, the award-winning Brown Hotel is in the theater district, next door to the Brown Theater, and approximately six miles from Louisville International Airport. This location is also a block from the Palace Theater, two blocks from 4th Street Live, four blocks from the Kentucky International Convention Center, a mile from the Louisville Slugger Museum, and four miles from Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby Museum.

Hotel amenities include the ground-level jewelry and art shops, 24-hour fitness room, J. Graham's Cafe, Thoroughbred Lounge, Lobby Bar, and English Grill's award-winning gourmet fare. The Georgian Revival-style exterior is faced with brick and trimmed with stone and terra cotta.
