The Banyan Tree Maldives is an exotic vacation retreat located on Vabbinfaru, a secluded Island in the Maldives archipelago south of Sri Lanka. This luxury resort is approximately 20 minutes by speedboat from Male, the capital of the Maldives. The hotel also offers a health club, a TV room with games and comfy seating, and a full-service PADI dive center. Guests will be able to try many different water sports, plan sightseeing and island hopping excursions, and snorkel directly off the property's beach. For onsite dining, guests won't want for options. The three restaurants on the property offer an eclectic array of dining experiences, from Maldivian specialties to International fare, from indoor seating to candlelit seating under the stars. In-villa dining is available. To suit guests' needs, the resort offers wedding support services.

Guests may choose from one-bedroom villas and villas with private Jacuzzis. Villas vary according to their location (ocean view, beachfront) on the property and in their layout. Each villa offers high-end interiors, a living area, and verandah. Standard amenities include a private bathroom with hot/cold freshwater shower, four poster bed, hairdryer, bathrobes, coffeemaker, minibar, air-conditioning, in-room safe, and a sundeck.

PLEASE NOTE Upon arrival at the airport, after immigration, guests should proceed to counter 8 where the resort host will direct guests for the speed boat transfers to the resort. A charge of USD$90 plus tax per person applies for return transfers to the resort. This is paid to the resort upon check out.
