The Pillars at New River Soundhotel was built in 1938 and was remodeled in 2001. The pillars at new river sound offers two exceptional locations in one it faces the intercoastal waterways with its thousands of colourful pleasure craft turn around and one is just 500 feet from a palm-lined promenade and the atlantic. Widely known as the venice of the united states, fort lauderdale has 159 miles from palm-fringed man-made waterways. This is one of America���s great boating playgrounds, set among beautiful flamingos and butterfly sanctuaries with the bahamas just a return day-trip away. The pillars has the look of a plantation house white shutters, white-pillared verandas and flowering trellises. Interiors are a pot-pourris of classic and cane, gorgeous fabrics, eclectic bric-a-brac, heaps of comfort and, to cap it all, a harp in the lobby. a luxury beach home with bags of charm.
