The Duke Mansion was built in 1915 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The rooms are residential in their decor, appointed with beautiful artwork furnishings, giving you a breathtaking image of what it was like to be a member of the prestigious Duke family who made The Mansion their home. Mr. Dukes most lasting legacies including Duke Energy, Duke University and The Duke Endowment took shape while he lived in the home. A gorgeous example of Colonial Revival architecture, at 32,000 square feet it is one of the largest private homes. Most rooms have queen or king sized beds, all have private baths, exquisite linens and luxurious robes. High speed internet is also available. We say goodnight to you with a gourmet goodnight treat, and send you on your way with a chef prepared breakfast in the morning all-included.
