Takeover activities at this historic city resort begun on January 2004. The Hotel Quito, an art-deco structure and the city���s only convention resort built in the sixties for Ecuador���s hosting of the Inter-American Convention, was opened and managed by Hotel Corporation of America and later by Intercontinental Hotels. Inside its 300.000 square feet of prime location, this city centre resort includes 214rooms, suites and exterior cabanas; 4 bars and restaurants, including the famous fine cuisine ���Techo del Mundo��� penthouse restaurant, the city���s most spectacular swimming pool and gardens, function facilities for up to 800 guests, health club, business center, wireless high speed internet throughout the whole property, and the largest and most luxurious Casino will opened 2005.
