Avila La Fonda Hotel is about a block from Avila State Beach and approximately 10 miles from San Luis Obispo Airport.

The property's amenities include the retreat center's guest lounge, steam room, and sauna. The hotel also offers a lobby/hospitality suite for morning coffee and evening wine tasting, a private entertainment theater with a 60-inch plasma screen and surround sound, and an outdoor patio with a gourmet barbecue kitchen and an outdoor fireplace. No stone was left unturned right down to the extra food basket which is complimentary and filled with only your favorites decided upon arrival. A Hotel Host is at your beck and call should you have any special requests and do not forget to raid the pantry for a midnight snack

All rooms feature Jacuzzi baths, complimentary snack bars, 42-inch plasma TVs, thermostat-controlled fireplaces, Bose CD players (with complimentary music library), DVD players (with complimentary movie library), high-speed Internet access (loaner laptops available), bathrobes, two heated towel bars in each bathroom, hairdryers, irons and ironing boards, two cordless phones and voicemail, leather pullout sleeper sofas, dining/island tables, two pedestal sinks, and some rooms have kitchens with full-size dishwashers, refrigerators, microwaves, coffeemakers, stoves, and garbage disposals.
