Occupying the northern end of a barrier island, Wild Dunes Resort is a 1,600 acre resort located approximately 30 minutes from downtown Charleston and 21 miles from Charleston International Airport. This location is also eight miles from the Fort Sumter boat dock, Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum (USS Yorktown), the Boone Hall Plantation, and the Charles Pinckney National Historic Site.
A favorite vacation spot for two decades, the property offers a variety of lodging options as well as world renowned golf, top ten tennis, nationally ranked family recreation program, extensive meeting facilities, and over two miles of pristine beach. It offers more than 350 one-to-four bedroom villas and three-to-eleven bedroom homes, many with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and the emerald fairways of tranquil lagoons. There are eight junior suites, a poolside hospitality suite, and a 1700 square feet grand presidential suite on the top floor featuring extraordinary views of the Grand Pavilion and Atlantic Ocean. Other amenities include the 93-room inn, vacation rental villas, two golf courses, 17 tennis courts, and 20 heated swimming pools (including one in each villa complex). A health spa is next to the health club for beauty and body treatments. Onsite dining is provided by the Sea Island Grill & Lounge, The Lettered Olive (opening May 2008), Hudsons Market (opening May 2008), Edgars Pub, Dunes Deli & Pizzeria, and the Grand Pavilion Cafe and Bar (summer-only dining venue). The resort offers rental bicycles, a business center, concierge assistance, complimentary valet parking, dry cleaning, and 24-hour front desk service.
All rooms and villas feature down comforters, bathrobes, cable TV, individual climate controls, voicemail, dataports, irons and ironing boards.
