Situated on a serene private bay approximately seven miles from Montego Bays Sangster International Airport, Half Moon, A RockResort offers a variety of luxury accommodations, meal plan options, and specialty programs. Half Moon is just one mile from the Rose Hall Great House (historical site), seven miles from Doctors Cave Beach, and 10 miles from the Greenwood Great House (historical site) and downtown Montego Bay. The hotel has hosted plenty of notable guests, including Queen Elizabeth II, John F. Kennedy and George H Bush.
Commanding more than 400 acres of oceanfront property, Half Moon features an extensive list of resort amenities including Fern Tree, A RockResorts Spa, two crescent-shaped beaches, an 18-hole Robert Trent Jones designed Championship Golf Course, Dolphin Lagoon (where guests can swim with dolphins), 13 tennis courts, equestrian center, sauna, fitness center, three swimming pools (including the hibiscus pool, oleander pool, and Olympic-size lap pool), Childrens Village and Teen Centre. Its interior is decorated with tropical flowers and mahogany furniture made on-property.
Dining venues include the Seagrape Terrace (with open-air buffets), Il Giardino, Sugar Mill Restaurant, Prince of Wales Pub and a weekly beachside barbecue. There are seven bars on-site, including two on the beach, one swim-up pool bar, and one on the 18th hole of the golf course.
All rooms feature mahogany furniture, Jamaican paintings, balconies or terraces, air-conditioning, cable TV, voicemail, minibars, coffeemakers, turndown service, bathrobes, hairdryers, irons and ironing boards, desks, and safes.
