Family owned and operated since 1972, the Alpenhof Lodge, as seen on Travel Channel’s “Hotel Impossible” is located in beautiful Mammoth Lakes, CA, only 40 miles from Tioga Pass and the Eastern entrance to Yosemite. This Bavarian style lodge is located across the street from The Village at Mammoth, the Gondola to Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, and is the home of two of Mammoth’s most popular establishments: Petra’s Bistro & Wine Bar and the Clocktower Cellar. Walk to restaurants, free shuttle stops, shops, a market, Mammoth Brewery & nightclubs. Walking distance to summer events like Jazz Jubilee, Villagefest, Bluseapalooza, & Mammoth Festival! This Bavarian style lodge offers NON-SMOKING, clean, comfortable rooms with private bathrooms. Room amenities include daily housekeeping, free wifi, free parking, iPod docking clock radio, cable TV, DVD player, compact refrigerator, iron and ironing board. The Alpenhof has a variety of units: lodge rooms, fireplace rooms and full kitchen cottages. A complimentary continental breakfast is served daily from 7am-10am in Petra’s Bistro for all guests. Seasonally guest can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool and hot tub (summer) or the indoor whirlpool and dry sauna (winter). Open nightly Tuesday-Sunday Petra’s Bistro & Wine Bar is where fine food meets casual, relaxed dining. Petra’s serves seasonal, California cuisine with nightly menu changes. They have 28 wines by the glass served from their cruvinet system, over 300 wines from around the world and hand crafted cocktails. Reservations are recommended: 760-934-3500. The Clocktower Cellar, celebrating 20 years in May 2013, is open 7 nights a week with daily Happy Hour specials. They offer over 150 whiskeys of the world, 26 rotating draught handles, and over 50 hand-selected bottle beers. After ordering off their new pub menu, be sure to enjoy all the games on 7 large LCD flat screens, pick some classics from their vintage jukebox, or talk some smack after a game of fooz-ball or pool.
