Resting on a 750-foot crescent of white sandy beach, Tamarind is as family-friendly as it is an exclusive adult hideaway. The former Tamarind Cove Hotel reopened on November 3 as the new Tamarind, following a multi-million dollar renovation. Redesigned and reimagined, Tamarind combines contemporary with modern interior design, serene outdoor spaces and a myriad of unique attributes that give it a distinctive personality. Offering 104 redesigned guestrooms and suites, blending Mediterranean influences with casual Caribbean styles. Most of the rooms boast spectacular ocean views from their private patio or balcony. Additional state-of-the-art amenities include iPod stations, flat screen TVs and high speed internet. Kids and Teens have their own special areas. The Flying Fish Kids Club offers exciting activities, from tie dye, arts and crafts to Beach Olympics, for children ages 4-12. Teens can hang out at Club Tamarind, which offers a more laid back environment for those between the ages of 13-17. Both clubs are open Monday to Saturday from 10am 9pm The addition of an intimate spa and relaxation space, two completely redesigned and re-imagined restaurants including a stylish new late-night poolside tapas lounge and a new deck which brings the spectacular beach backdrop into the dining experience, gives guests a premium position on one of Barbados most idyllic beachfronts.
