Riu Tequila All Inclusive is located just off the beach, within the Playacar complex, and approximately 35 miles from Cancun International Airport. This location is also half a mile from Playacar Golf Course, two miles from downtown Playa del Carmen and the ferry to Cozumel, four miles from Xcaret Park, 34 miles from Xel-Ha Park, and 40 miles from Tulum.

Resort amenities include the two pools, nightclub, three bars, five restaurants, a new conference centre and childrens pool and playground. The beach is a short stroll away, accessed by a garden path or a complimentary shuttle. An 18-hole golf course is adjacent to the property.

The all-inclusive plan covers meals, drinks, dining privileges at partner resorts, activities, gratuities, one complimentary scuba-diving lesson, and use of both land and water sports equipment. Scuba-diving certification, snorkeling and scuba-diving excursions, parasailing, use of wave runners and banana boats, transfers between partner resorts, and spa and beauty treatments are available at an extra fee.

All rooms feature private terraces or balconies, safes, air-conditioning and ceiling fans, telephones, satellite TV, minibars, and liquor dispensers (restocked every other day).
