Au Grand Hotel Francais

I really enjoyed my one night stay at this hotel. Even though it's rated 3 stars, I thought the room that we stayed in could pass as a four star room. The staff is very nice and accommodating. For example, they allowed us to leave our luggage in their storage room for three nights because we didn't want to carry it us to Madrid. It made flying to Madrid so much easier. The hotel is very close to a metro station, making it going to your favorite Paris landmarks very convenience. It's in the 11th district, so it's not right in the center, but for the price and how clean and luxurious the room was, I didn't mind riding the metro another 5 or 10 mins or so to go places.

Near two metro stops(Nation and Rue Boulet); Easy to get anywhere; recently modernized; VERY clean; supermarket across the street; fridge in room;many restaraunts nearby. I am a single female and felt comfortable walking streets early in AM and into early night. XYZ was especially helpful with all of my questions (all staff were) Everyone spoke at least some English I didn't realize how important that would be! Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful stay in Paris. Great hotel. Great Staff, room, breakfast,and access to Metro. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. Would recommend to others. Very reasonable price. Rooms very quiet. Gave us the room with access to balcony.

The Au Grand Hotel Francais is a great hotel. It is small like most hotels in Europe, but very nice. It is very modern and clean. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and most spoke English. This hotel is in a more residential area than central Paris. The location is great and easy to get to. It is only two blocks from a large metro station. Using the metro you can get anywhere in town in less than 30 minutes. We even took the metro to and from the Charles De Gaulle airport to the hotel. Since it is off the beaten path there are some good restaurants close by. Next to the hotel is a delicious pizzeria and creperie. There are two internet cafes close by, but the hotel does offer wireless internet. We did not try to the breakfast the hotel offered as we didn't know they did until we were checking out. This hotel is very nice and quiet. I would definitely stay there again!

My husband and I spent our first anniversary and belated honeymoon in Paris, staying four nights at the Grand Hotel Francais. The accommodations were wonderful. The rooms, while smallish by American standards, were clean and attractively decorated. The location was excellent with several delicious, reasonably priced restaurants and bakeries nearby and a metro stop within a block. The staff, was most helpful, spoke fluent English and went beyond the call of duty in helping to make our visit a pleasant and memorable one.
