Oasis in the Sonoran Desert
A pleasant and well established resort location in Tucson . Excellent dining . Good employees who are responsive to the guest's inquiries and observations . I would recommend it to others who wanted a pleasant stay in the Sonoran Desert Foothills with solid amenities and recreational opportunities .
Relaxing place
The resort was very nice - the room was great with a view over the desert. Great view of the mountains at sunset from my room - great view from the restaurant salso. Recommend you ask for a second floor room if you want a desert view so your view is over the lower plants. The staff was helpful. I would definely go back - I went by myself but it is a good place for families also. Free wireless in the room.
The Westward Look - Outstanding!
We just stayed for our second time at The Westward Look -- it is a gorgeous resort -- the rooms are very grand, the restaurants are fantastic and the food is reasonably priced. The 'lookout tini' at the bar is to die for -- a must try martini even for non-martini drinkers. The staff was pleasant and quick to help -- the pools were beautiful and well kept. My son and husband did a horseback ride -- again a very reasonable price for same and the wrangler was extremely nice -- all around great trip to Tucson and the resort made it so! We will be back in a another month or so and can't wait!
NICE RENOVATION
Stayed at this resort a few years ago and it was in need of updating. My husband and I attended wedding so wanted to stay overnite in Tucson. Heard Westward Look did major renovation, so was curious to see results. The rooms look great. Really nice beds, flat screen tv, updated bathroom. Also very quiet even though the resort was booked full. We did not have time to dine in the Gold restaurant, but did eat light dinner in Lookout Bar & Grille. They really need to tweak their menu. The food was mediocre and cold. Also, there were flies all over the windows which is never a good thing. I did hear the food is very good in Gold, so will try it next trip. All in all, the resort is very nice...just hope there will be changes in their casual dining!
