Great Time

We had a wonderful stay and the Sutton Hotel in Vancouver. The location was great and our room was very nice. We did not hear any noise in the hallways or from our neighbors in the rooms next to us. The outside noise is noticable even on the 19th floor but not bothersome. Breakfast was good, the bar is nice, hotel staff and valet attendance were great. Canadians are the friendliest people.

Nice hotel, except for rooms! NOT 5*

Shazo B. from San Francisco, CA – Wouldn't stay again

Firstly let me start with - I loved Vancouver, a truly fabulous city! Now the hotel, Great location! Great pool and Spa to enjoy after a long days adventure. Staff are all really lovely and very helpful, The hotel looks very impressive from the front and the lobby. That is until you are allocated your room.... Well, old is a good description. Bed is lumpy, furniture is chipped and the decor is just hideous! The rooms are in serious need of a facelift. Way overpriced for what you get. I'd say 3* at best. Drinks are really expensive and they also charge $* a day for internet access!!! I just took my laptop to Starbucks over the road for free Wi FI : )

ENJOY!!

Grouse mountain is great fun and the ride up there is just beautiful. Take the sea bus and then the bus from the terminal, it's cheaper than a tour and just as exciting. The same bus also stops at Capilano suspension bridge. Try the proper English food at the Elephant and Castle pub on Burrand St, just before the sea front. The Steak and kidney pie is delicious : ) Sea plane tours are only $99 for about 20 minutes and a great view, but make sure you pick a clear day.

Vancouver Trip

Anonymous from San Francisco, CA – Would stay again
Stayed Sep 2009, 5 days

Stayed for 5 nights. Location of hotel couldn't be better. Right in the city center. Took the Canada Line Sky Train from airport to downtown Vancouver. About 4 block walk to hotel. Hotel room was excellent and the staff were superb. Would definitely stay there again when going back to Vancouver.

Would definitely stay here again

The hotel was wonderful. It was centrally located next to Robson street shopping and within walking distance of Vancouver's highlights. Most of the tours that we took picked us up from the hotel lobby. The staff and concierge were very kind, helpful and polite. The hotel and our rooms were very clean and elegant. The hotel offers discounts for local shopping.

This hotel was first class all the way. Located in the center of downton Vancouver, we were centrally located for our various destinations during our stay. The concierge staff was the friendliest, most knowledgable group that you could ask for, and we relied on them to help us get the most out of our trip. Only one thing caught us by surprise. Be prepared to pay separately for a parking space. It is not included with the hotel fee. This is probably typical for all the hotels located downtown Vancouver.
