Room change

Clive C. from fremont, CA – Would stay again
Stayed Jan 2009, 3 days Most Recent Stay

I have stayed at this hotel before, mostly because of price and its location on Soi11 cloe to sumkuvit Rd and nana sky train station. It is close to some good places to eat , drink play pool or just hang around. None of the staff stood out they were efficient. the hotel itself is quite dated. On this visit I stayed at 3 different hotels in different areas of the city.this area was the most fun. I chose a upgrded room and got a large bedroom and sitting room, but the room stank of cigarette smoke. I am asthmatic and a non smoker and they were able to change me to a non smoking room in tower one, which was a much nicer room again pretty dated, but everthing worked well. Now having stayed in all three of their towers, all of which have their own pool areas, i prefer tower 3 across, the road which happens also to be their cheapest. Make sure you know if breakfast is included before you arrive. It is a great spread, even though it cost about $9 extra, on prior visits it was included.

I love the Hotel

Mitch A. from Augusta, GA – Would stay again
Stayed May 2007, 9 days

I have stayed at the Grand 6 times over the past 18 months and will be there at least 2 more times before the end of 2007. I learned from a friend the first time to go no less then a Regency room. It is well worth it. Tower 1 or 2 is the way to go, always, unless you want to go cheap, you get what you pay for. People at the hotel are great, bell guy even ran out to get things for me. Great location on Sukumvint. Near to BTS, shopping malls, restaurants, Soi Cowboy, Nana Plaza. I stay there with my Thai girlfriend when visiting and she loves it too. The German beer house located right there is awesome. Great food and drink, good service and people. Love the pig roast each weekend. The Regency and above rooms also provide a full kitchen and fridge, great if you want to do your own breakfast or evening food. In case your a late riser like we are. It all depends on what your looking for, I would recommend it to friends and have before. Spend $* ? That is what you get.

Bars and Club areas

From the hotel head for Sukumvint, go left to Soi Cowboy, great party place. Go right down to Soi 4 for Nana Plaze and entertainment center, what a riot. You should go see them just to say you have. I have a blast there with the ladies, and my girlfriend is with me, she loves it too.

Wynnie W. from San Francisco, CA – Wouldn't stay again
Stayed Feb 2007, 1 day

I booked the hotel and flight together. They put me in Tower 1 which was a joke. They gave me a lot of run around before they were willing to give me a room in Tower 1 or 2. There was daily room service but the cleanliness was questionable. Staff at the restaurant were friendly and clean. Breakfast was catered to Westerners which was good. Yes, it you decide to stay here, make sure you stay in Tower 1 or 2.

The Grand President

Gladwin M. from Phenix City, AL – Wouldn't stay again
Stayed Dec 2006, 1 day

First the hotel's website it said that it was 15 minutes from the airport and it was actually 30-40 minutes. The rooms was totally different from the site, I got Tower 3 which looked like a roach motel, when I asked to be moved to tower 1 or 2 they said no rooms were available. The service was exelent all the staff was so polite and helpful that I wanted to take them home with me. The Gym was shabby consisting of outdated equipment. I would recomend this hotel but before you book call and ask for tower 1 or 2. Good luck and enjoy because I did in a strange sort of way lol.
