My family and I stayed here one night prior to leaving on a cruise from Tampa Port. We flew into Tampa International and contacted the hotel from the airport. They provided transportation from the airport, were very concise in telling me where they would meet us and picked us up within 20-25 minutes of my call. After arriving at the hotel, the staff welcomed us by name and were very attentive. The room was attractive and comfortable. They had an excellent exercise facility and a very attractive pool and hot tub area. The hotel was located between two major malls so we chose to spend the evening at one of those malls. The hotel van took us right away and picked us up promptly when we called. We spent a comfortable night and ate breakfast the next morning at the hotel. The food was good. We were scheduled to be transported to the Port in plenty of time prior to our sailing. The staff I dealt with were very professional, helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay at the Quorum again when in Tampa. The hotel was convenient to both the airport and the Port. The complimentary transportation (of course, we tipped) was an invaluable service. It was one of the reasons we booked this hotel.

Poor regard for handicapped accessibility

Reservations were made for a wheelchair accessible room and greeted with 'oh, that's what that means' and no accessible room available at check in. However, there was a promise to have an accessible room 'early tomorrow as soon as a room became available'. Room change came the next day at 5:30 PM and was switched to a 'traditional bathtub, minimal room for a wheelchair' handicapped space. The front desk manager informed us at check out that handicapped accessible rooms were available on first come first serve basis regardless of reservation status. Then, there was the 2 hour and 3 phone call wait for a 45 min expected room service order, cold meeting rooms, a used hotel logo robe in the closet of the 'new room', a daily (not 24 hour) charge for high speed internet, a coffee maker in the room with no new supplies, vending machines that did not return change, ice machines that did not work, visual maintenance that needed doing in the hallways and etc. Staff was friendly when you talked to them.
