Anse Chastanet Resort

Anse Chastanet is all about location. Staff were great. Did not do the all inclusive or meal plan. Our room charges for meals, drinks, zip line tour, half day of sailing, transfers to and from both airports, some tee shirts etc. was $. Pretty reasonable for a 6 night stay! We stayed in room 8C. (220 steps to reception). We only took the shuttle a couple of times. My calfs were on fire but we walked up and down most of the time. Toured Jade Mountain before checking out. The views and photo opps at both resorts are stunning.

Everything was exquisite including the staff, beach and facilities. Huge rooms that add greatly to the relaxed atmosphere. This is the place to stay on the island if looking for relaxation. If you want shopping and a lot of excursions, you should stay on the north side of the island. I do recommend the jungle biking if you need some activity though. The only negative was the prices for meals. I recommend taking the water taxi to Soufriere(or stopping on the way from the airport) to get some snacks, fruit, etc to save some money!

The best thing about the Anse Chastenet is the small, intimate size and the activities that are located on-site. They have a coral reef that you can snorkel by walking of the beach, fun mountain biking trails that you can also hike to see great views. They also have their own sail boat and the best scuba center on the island. Use of the beach is controled to a few hotels, and those staying at the Anse Chastenet have exclusive use of the nice beach palapas. The beach is never crowded and very clean. Their spa services were fantastic. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated but not fancy - the view is what makes it luxurious. Every night has a different local music group playing in the bar for a taste of culture with your night cap. This is not the place to party till 3am. \nThe Anse Chastenet is the answer for anyone looking for the ultimate Caribbean get away with the right mix of everything and nothing to do. I would absolutely love to go again.

There is NO AC; the maj. or suites are on a hill and req. physical activity: walking!If you can get away from those creature comforts, this place is paradise!Tune out of the world at the most surreal carib. landscape you'll ever exp.Staff rivaled that of 5* NYC restaurants.Cuisine was not far behind.Beach and underwater scenery was lights-out.Ask jungle to take you to the 'rocky' beach.Chill in SOLITUDE!
