Some things good - some not so good
The hotel staff is extremely friendly. Wear comfy shoes, everything is spready apart on the compound. For $* per night, our room had no external window and a closet that was one foot deep (hangers were in it sideways). Our room was also at the very end of the hall of the Delta Corridor, which made it an incredibly long walk the entire week we were here. We had also requested a king sized bed and got two doubles. Also found the hallways were very narrow and most guests would not be polite and try to get out of the way. Some restaurants are pricier than others. Walked to Opry Mills (with other like-minded folks) each day to get a better deal in the food court there. I am an individual who enjoys natural light. I didn't expect my window to only open to interior walkways, especially because they knew we were checking in for a whole week. Very disappointing. We won't be back.
Beautiful
Hotel is beautiful, people friendly, Hard to find room. The housekeeping in our room was not up to standard. Hotel needs to refurbish. We were there for fifteen nights. We were there for pleasure and a convention. Convention facilities were Great!!!!!!!!!!. We will be staying there again in 2010.
Wonderful experience - a little pricey
Beautiful hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Not a good experience at one of the pricier restaurants but all the others were wonderful. Lots to do and see if you so choose.
Great stay
A beautiful hotel was disappointed with the "resort fee" of $15, but we knew up front. Staff that we encountered was pleasant, we will definetely stay there again, it was convenient to everything we wanted to see and the shuttles that they provide to everywhere was great.
Gaylord Opryland at Nashville, Tennessee
Beautiful, beautiful setting. Snooty front desk. Hidden "resort fees" (Charged a day, 4 days; were told that Travel on line should have told us about this.) Expensive, but I guess that's why it is a resort.
