Best Western Oceanside Inn

Good location within walking distance to the beach and charter boats for fishing. Approximately 2 miles to the Broward County Convention Center. Comprehensive hot breakfast was included. The food was good but predictable. It was obvious that while the hotel was clean and the staff friendly and helpful that this facility has been around for a while and shows signs of age. If your looking for ocean views, they are hard to come by here as the hotel is surrounded by newer buildings that block many of the views. All in all a good value for the dollar, but if your looking for more luxury surroundings this might not be it.

I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. The location was great, just a short walk to the beach. The rooms were clean and well kept and the daily breakfast buffet was excellent. We stayed for 5 nights and feel it was a great value for the money. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Ft Lauderdale area.

This is the second time my fiance and I stayed at BWOI for a week, and both times were enjoyable. The location and price cannot be beat! The hotel is literally steps away from the beach, and just a short leisurely walk to Las Olas Blvd., shops, restaurants, and nightlife! Jungle Queen is just a few minutes' walk away. The beach on this part of South Beach Park is super clean and super deep/wide. It takes a couple minutes' walk to get to the edge of the water, and there are tables, grills, and several volleyball nets as well. Even on the weekend, probably because of its' width/depth, the beach did not seem too busy or over-crowded. The hotel is in good overall condition, it is clean, the rooms are spacious, and the beds comfortable. The breakfast is really TERRIFIC with many different, freshly-prepared options to choose from, including fresh fruit, which should suit everyone's needs! Staff is friendly, responsive, pleasant, and courteous. The in-room safe is very convenient, as is the mini fridge. While we did not experience the pool - the beach was our destination morning and afternoon - it looked clean, as did the surrounding area, with plenty of beds to accomodate guests. The second floor deck also had numerous beds and a reasonable number of tables with umbrellas and chairs for guests' enjoyment. Parking was much more reasonable than at other area hotels, and the complementary wireless service was another plus. We would definitely come back again and recommend BWOI to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable place and a terrific location convenient to all the local attractions!

I stayed here with my kids recently for a week. The hotel is reasonably priced and almost on the beach. It is only maybe a 5 minute walk to get to the beach. Most hotels nearby are more expensive and you need to cross a very busy road to get to the beach. You do have a little longer walk to get to the restaurants than some of the other hotels though.The breakfast is very good and the staff is nice. I would recommend this hotel to others.

As budget hotels go, this a great place to stay. The rooms were clean, the staff helpful and freindly, and the location was terrific. Keep in mind this is not a resort, but if you want a decent place on the beach that is safe, clean and comfortable, then this is it. Also the full complimentary breakfast every morning was a pleasant surprise.
