Nice Trip

Anonymous from Boulder, CO – Would stay again
Stayed Nov 2009, 4 days Most Recent Stay

This was a nice place to stay. I would request to stay on the South side of the building as the Howard Johnson to the North has REALLY bad loud music. I think upgrading directly with the hotel (not through travelocity) would have been less expensive, but you might not want to try your luck during a busy time of year, we went in early November. The double beds in the garden view suite were super small and we upgraded to a room with a king bed for $15/night. The pools are very nice, one adult pool was very quiet and the family one near the beach was never too loud. Great beach location, right on the water. The cabanas were nice and the people working at the beach were nice. We didn't have a car but the signs said parking was $15/day, but that may be included in the $25/night "resort fee" per room. The restaurant was not fine dining. Believe it or not they actually have really good coffee in the lobby, it's Starbucks which I'm not a fan of but they actually brew it very well. The suites all have large fridges with freezers (almost full size) a 2 burner stove, and a kitchen sink, and come stocked with pots, pans, plates, cups etc... There is a Publix grocery store about a mile South of the Hotel if you want to save some money and cook some meals. Overall good value, seemed very family friendly and I would definitely go back.

Great location/ poor housekeeping

Anonymous from Oshkosh, WI – Would stay again
Stayed Oct 2009, 3 days

Loved the location, would stay again, for that, and becasue of that woudl give them a second go round to see if they paid any attention to the comments I gave them about their housekeeping. Don't get me wrong, it was definitely not horrible, but if they did not clean around the toilet or stock the bathroom (which they ddn't even after I pointed it out) then what else was not cleaned? The Island Grand is affiliated and appears to be a bit better kept. For the location, we would go again.
